THE LATEST ADVANCES IN TECHNOLOGY ARE PUT TO WORK AT
ROY ANDERSON LUMBER IN A CAREFUL MIXTURE OF SCIENCE AND ART.

Computer driven equipment that lends precision and great accuracy to an age-old craft guides generations of experience in producing carefully crafted hardwood lumber.

The latest in scanning techniques allows Roy Anderson Lumber’s technicians to maximize yield and produce the highest quality lumber product. Non-standard
thicknesses can be dialed in to meet any customers’ needs. Modern bandmills turn high quality Kentucky logs into fine hardwood lumber.

Nothing goes to waste, as sawdust from the process is used as fuel for the boiler or used in other manufacturing processes. Wood chips are turned into paper products and bark is ground into fine hardwood mulch.
Roy Anderson’s graders are National Hardwood Lumber Association trained and certified. Lumber is graded both after sawing and after the finished product emerges from the drying process. Dry kiln controllers help reduce defects ordinarily caused in the kiln drying process. The PictureTally system ensures that customers receive an exact measure in each bundle.
