Since 1950, Roy Anderson Lumber has provided the finest Appalachian hardwoods to customers throughout the world.

Founded in 1950 by Roy Anderson, the company’s Tompkinsville location has grown from a stave and circular grade mill to a state-of-the-art facility that includes two headrigs, two resaws, computerized optimizer/edger, dry kilns, and planing operations.

The Tompkinsville site utilizes a state-of-the-art sorting and grading system to efficiently process green lumber. Once the lumber has been dried, it is re-graded by our NHLA Certified Lumber Graders. The Picture Tally ™ system is used to ensure that customers receive accurate measurements in each bundle.

Today, the Tompkinsville location is managed by Roy’s son, David. David joined Roy in the family business in 1990 and has worked in his current role since 1993 when Roy retired. This location serves as the headquarters for our global operations.
